Do you know which country has first sunrise in the world?

Sun is one of the most useful resource for living things, even now a days it’s very main energy resource for Solar Energy Plants and we sort out the list of which country has first sunrise in the world?.

Which Country Has First Sunrise in the World?

About 10 kilometers away from the place chosen to enjoy the first sunrise in the world, is East Cape, the easternmost point of New Zealand, and in turn, the easternmost lighthouse in the world.

I could not resist, taking advantage of the proximity, to get closer there and enjoy a moment of silence and views from that point.

The entrance to the lighthouse is inside a private estate, but it is easily accessible as they have opened their doors for a large part of the day. After 15 minutes of a light climb up steps, we reached the lighthouse.

The East Cape lighthouse was first built in 1900 several kilometers away, but after several earthquakes, it was decided to move it to its current location in 1922. 63 years later, in 1985, they completely automated it, regardless of the “lighthouse keeper”. Now it is operated from Wellington.

Up there, at 154 meters above sea level, the calm is total and the views reach an infinite horizon on clear days.

First Sunrise in the World

This kind of thing has intrinsic a bit of artificiality created by man. That is, the largest river in the world is by its own merits, as is the largest mountain. When we talk about things like “the first dawn of the world” we are talking about something that in one day someone decided that ” the time zone starts here”.

It could have been in New Zealand, in Móstoles or in Buenos Aires, but to me, the symbolic power of this type of places usually captivates me easily.

I had just over two weeks to finish my great adventure in New Zealand and I could proudly say that I had already seen almost 100% of the places I wanted to know (and the few that were left were technically not viable to reach).

Why seeing the sunrise and sunset is good for your health?

Different studies prove the physical and emotional benefits of this beautiful activity.

By intuition, we know that nature does us a lot of good. Then by science, we must confirm the benefits that the mere fact of posing on nature shares with us. We also intuit that appreciating beautiful moments in nature, like a sunset or sunrise, is good for health, especially mental, but also some studies confirm its benefits for the body.

Beyond dedicating moments to the contemplation and relaxation of the mind to mitigate daily stress is beneficial, a Northwestern University study has found that exposure to the early light of the day improves your metabolism and is even linked to the weight loss.

On the other hand, in the psychological aspect, giving your attention at dusk and dusk makes you aware of the natural cycle of the day; with it, your activities are also coupling to this dynamic that influences our real clock, the natural one (remember that the creation of time is only a socially accepted measure).

Also, it is proven that exposing yourself to sunlight improves your mood and health, and dusk and dawn are the kindest moments to receive the sun’s rays without necessarily damaging your skin.

If to this we add the aesthetic experience of this millennial ritual, then his generosity does not demand more explanations.
